La Paz (Bolivia) 23 to 26 Sep 2004 >>> Map 2

La Paz - bloody massive, very high up and I achieved massive sunburn on an open top bus trek. After a hunt for an Irish bar showing the Kerry match failed, we listened to it on the internet. Not sure what the locals thought of the waving of the arms & the shouting of "hit it with your bat" when Kerry won, but we enjoyed it.

Copa Cabana ( Bolivia ) 26 to 29 Sept 2004 >>> Map 2

Copacabana Bolivia, by lake Titicaca - fantastic place and fantastic company - we met 2 good friends from home - Katie and Ice Monkey Spiderman (aka Glyn IMS!) - God bless you both. A great few days were had walking across the Inca island of the Isla da sol (Martina still has the sun burn to prove it! - amazing views which I won't forget for a while, a massive session involving lots of games. Shopping for tourist items & more walking up hillsides for views & crank caller breathing (so unfit!).

Puno (Peru) 29 Sep to 1 Oct 2004 >>> Map 2

Puno - taken by scary man in blue jacket to a kip of a hostel which smelt slightly like a public toilet, and not being George Michael. I wasn't best pleased. Puno as a town is fairly rubbish, but we were there for the floating islands on the lake which were a winner. All made from reeds ... in heavy rain the fishermen lose their homes for days as they move. Also rocked a reed boat which was fairly strange as well.

Cusco (Peru) 1 to 4 & 7 to 9 Oct 2004 >>> Map 2
Lovely town, massive architecture, marching bands. Base for the Inca trail...

Cusco - entered into the top three places as soon as we arrived in the centre. Great place to spend some time relaxing, lots of nice bars  and restaurants. What wasn't relaxing was the Brass Band that plays in the square every morning of the weekend!! I can honestly say I've had better alarm calls (like the Inca trail - keep reading).

We had a great tourist Sunday of Chelsea V Liverpool, Guinness & postcard writing in the Irish bar around the corner - I love the commentary here - they started singing a Beatles song (I wanna hold your hand) when Joe Cole scored (It went something like "Joe Cole scored a goooooal, Joe Cole scored a goal )
