Firstly - we left Perth 2 weeks ago. A sad day, as we'd grown to like the place a lot. I didn't mind leaving my job - there's nothing worse than harassing a single mother of three for a credit card debt of $5,000 on a Monday morning....you feel kind of dirty. >>> Pinnacles desert - a desert with loads of funny shape rocks spread as far as the eye could see - very impressive (a bit like walking on Mars?) & we would have spent ages there if it wasn't for all the bloody flies - they were everywhere - we had to start doing the 'Australian Salute / drowning wave' - i.e - waving our hands around & running for the shelter of the car! |

>>>Margaret River - as you all know - we have a great deal of respect for wine and here we embarked on our fourth wine tour - my tour guide this time was Martina - who very decently agreed to drive around many great wineries (Sandleford / Mad Fish (where we watched the Gold Cup Race - sipping wine & shouting "go on you good thing" at the tops of our voices...) to name two, whilst I tested wines for dinner....and very good at it I was.

>>>Walpole & the tree top walk ... Martina drove south east and to a house owned by our former landlords. We went to a nice town called Denmark .The tree top walk takes you up to the highest branches of all the big arse trees they have in the area - very impressive. A German tourist nearly got my breakfast all over him when he started showing off to his girlfriend & swaying & jumping on the walkways...should have finished the job & thrown himself off, the git. |
