We then headed to our favourite place in Vietnam - Hoi An. A lovely old French colonial town with about 100 or more tailor shops - they could make anything up and I left with two suits, a big coat & 2 shirts for about $150. >>>They came into use later.... |

We sadly left here to travel to Hue - wished we didn't, as not much was happening here, so we left after two days & headed to the capital - Hanoi - I thought Saigon was crazy - but this place was double it! It took a few days to find our feet & cross the roads - but it was a interesting place once we managed that. Lots of narrow streets, a big lake & more Bia Hoi. To celebrate our last night in Vietnam - we decided not to go out in a Bia Hoi frenzy or even try the local 'steamed dog' on some menus - no, we went proper crazy and went to a water puppet show! It was as good as it sounds (i.e very good) - aside from ladies screaming throughout - although I'm sure that was part of the show! |
